Remembering Mum!

Born in Sydney Australia February 16th, 1958. Mum (Jane) was given up for adoption as an infant and was quickly adopted by an immigrant polish couple, Henrietta and George Bochenek, Nanna and Poppy!

I will save these two cool cats for another blog post!

Mum was a wild card in her teens with a passion for the water, her horses, and running around town in her x highway patrol LJ Torana, Mum completed Uni to become a pathologist and almost straight away started a family, with me in 1983 and then my brother (Joseph) in 1992.

My mother and I had a very odd ball relationship, she was like growing up with a friend that you were bound to for life, There are times where I was frustrated with how she lived her life but always respected that she was an adult and could make all of her own decisions on her own. As I reminded my brother time to time, as long as she was happy then there was no reason for us to be pains in the butt!!! outside of trying to keep her motivated to stay in control of her health,

Unfortunately, she had struggled with type 2 diabetes for over two decades and suffered the reputations of it in many different ways.

In March of 2025 after a solid year of heath related issues my mother let us know that she was at peace, and that she knew it was time to punch her ticket,

Jane Mary Scaturro passed peacefully in Sydney with my brother at her side
